Spock's Beard - Day For Night

This is SB at their most accessible. They've always had a pop edge but this brings it to the fore. Right from the powerful opening of 'Day for Night' to the 22 minute 'Healing Colours of Sound' suite it is a musical journey that never get's boring as it never stays in one place for long, and in 'The Distance to the Sun' they have one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. I saw them live last April when they opened for Dream Theater and that was enough to get me hooked. Watch out for stunning 5 part harmonies and an almost excessive use of wah on the guitar... If you like this get 'Don't Try This at Home' and 'V'. Fantastic
